As a busy working mom, I am usually too tired by the end of the day to bother much about skincare. More like too lazy. Since all of us area usually in an air conditioned room most of the time, the tendency to have dry skin is pretty high. Thankfully, as I was struggling a little with dry skin and figuring out what hydration skincare to try, I won a set of Organique by Olinda Spring Rehydrate Range at a Christmas giveaway contest. The set consists of a bottle of Rehydrate Facial Serum and a tub of Rehydrate Night Cream.

I tested both the serum and night cream at the same time since they should, after all, go together. Before setting out to review the products, I tested my skin’s moisture levels with a digital skin moisture monitor, and the reading was 30.3%, which is below the normal range of 40-60%.

So, every night I would apply my regular toner, and then with the Rehydrate Serum, followed by the Rehydrate Night Cream. I tested these product in this way for an entire week, so I can take the moisture level readings again at the end of the week to see if there is any changes.

First of all, let’s talk about the texture. Despite having macadamia oil as its base, it wasn’t as thick and sticky as I thought it would be. I don’t even need to use a lot to ensure my whole face is slathered with it.

Secondly, it doesn’t really leave a sticky film after application, so you can be sure your face won’t stick to your sheets when you try to sleep. In fact, it felt pretty light that I could also use the serum in the morning as well. It is almost scentless, and despite being a rich type of cream, I did not get breakouts like I usually do when using rich products. To get the best results, it is recommended that you apply the serum twice a day in the morning and night, and the night cream at night before you sleep.

So, what are the results? In a week, the moisture level of my skin went up by 12.2% – from 30.3% to 42.5%. Not too bad, and now it is in the normal range, so with some consistency, I would probably reach the excellent moisture rating of 60-100%.

The Rehydrate Facial Serum is priced at RM129.00, while the Rehydrate Night Cream costs RM99.00. You can purchase these lovely products and more at Organique by Olinda Spring Online Store.
